Wow, what a whirlwind of a week! I’m still trying to catch up from being gone this past weekend, but it’s completely worth it for the time I got to spend at the Annual RRCA Convention this past weekend. I am so thankful to the Lynchburg Road Runners Club for letting the Marketing Committee go. We had a blast and learned a ton! Here’s a little recap of our weekend in “the Big D”. I think I may have a new contender for favorite race.
On Saturday, I ran my last half marathon of 2016. It was the coldest, my first race in Maryland, and I loved it. Continue reading “Good Morning, Race 13.1 Baltimore “
How has it already been a week since this race? I feel like it was just yesterday!
To refresh, I ran the Wine & Dine Half Marathon as part of Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge (official challenge with RunDisney, see 10K recap here), but I also had my own mini unofficial challenge: 3 halfs in 3 states in 3 weekends. Continue reading “3 Halfs, 3 Weekends, 3 States: Wine & Dine Half Marathon”
This weekend was the second stop on my 3 halfs, 3 weekends, 3 states tour: beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. Continue reading “3 Halfs, 3 Weekends, 3 States: Race 13.1 Charleston”
This weekend kicked off a little mini challenge I have over the next 3 weekends: 3 Halfs, in 3 Weekends, in 3 States. It was going to be 6 back to back race weekends, but I realized that was a little crazy and decided to take it easy (haha).
And I’m sad to say it was probably my least favorite event to date. Continue reading “3 Halfs, 3 Weekends, 3 States: Race 13.1 Fayetteville”
This weekend a hurricane hit the East Coast.
Her name was Hermine, and she made for one interesting weekend.
Morgan and I left Lynchburg. Our traveling party was already down 2 people due to the hurricane but we decided that as long as Rock n Roll was keeping the races on, we would make the trek to Virginia Beach. Continue reading “Shuck it Up, Buttercup”
Before this weekend, I thought Rock n Roll was overrated. I hadn’t done one, but there was no way that a race series that puts on races in as many cities as they do can do a great job at all of them.
Oh boy, was I wrong. Continue reading “I Love Rock n Roll (Raleigh)”
Better late than never right?
On February 21, I ran my first half of 2016 in Wilmington, NC. Here’s a recap of all the awesome things that happened over our weekend there. Continue reading “Race 13.1 Wilmington- Mexican, Ice Cream, and Fish Medals”
2 years ago today, I ran my first half marathon.
This past weekend, I ran my 9th. Both in the same place, and both a crazy experience. So let’s take a little look back at the whirlwind that was this weekend. Continue reading “I Like Medals, Okay?”
I’ve put off writing this post because I think I needed this long to process everything that happened this past weekend. My mom and I traveled to DC on Thursday afternoon, went to the race expo Friday and played tourist the rest of the day and all day Saturday, the race was Sunday, and then we came home and I went to work on Monday. Continue reading “26.2 Things That Happened During the Marine Corps Marathon Weekend”
