The Disneyland Half is rapidly approaching, and this past week we got a sneak peek at the merchandise available thanks to Disney Parks Blog! Recently, the sneak peeks have been released the day before the expo in an attempt to stop eBay sellers from taking pre-orders, so I’m a little surprised we got a look this early. Was this an attempt to drum up some enthusiasm from a crowd that isn’t as hyped as normal? Who knows. Continue reading “Disneyland Half Merchandise Preview”
With the release of the Tinkerbell Half marathon medals announced today, I thought it would be fun to start a post on my thoughts for all of the 2017 RunDisney medals as they are released. I’ll keep this updated as more medals are released so we can enjoy the fun all year!
I will be the first to admit that I was skeptical of the live action remake of Beauty and the Beast (BATB). While I loved the live action Cinderella, the original was much older, and a live action remake made sense to keep the copyright alive and well. BATB is only 2 years older than me, why do we need to remake it?
After seeing it last night, I have to say, I get it now.
As a follow up to my “In Training” cover photos, here are some to use after your race! Continue reading “RunDisney “I Did It” Cover Photos”
Yesterday, it finally happened. RunDisney broke the news of the “new and improved” Disneyland Half theme. Rumors have been circulating ever since registration opened in December and runners noticed that the Dumbo Double Dare Registration was replaced with Disneyland Double Dare for 2017. Continue reading “Disneyland Half Theme Revealed!”
I like to update my Facebook cover photo to reflect my next race. The problem is, a lot of races don’t have the appropriate graphics for this. Personally, I’m not a fan of the cover RunDisney makes, so I put my skills to good use and made a few for everyone to use. If you use it, please drop a link to my blog in the caption so others might use them too! Continue reading “RunDisney “In Training” Cover Photos”
How has it already been a week since this race? I feel like it was just yesterday!
To refresh, I ran the Wine & Dine Half Marathon as part of Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge (official challenge with RunDisney, see 10K recap here), but I also had my own mini unofficial challenge: 3 halfs in 3 states in 3 weekends. Continue reading “3 Halfs, 3 Weekends, 3 States: Wine & Dine Half Marathon”
You guys, I did it. After years (literally) of sitting at home stalking RunDisney events through Instagram, I FINALLY got to run in a RunDisney Weekend.
And not just any RunDisney Weekend. The Inaugural Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge.
And it was everything I ever dreamed it would be. Continue reading “Wine & Dine 10K”
With an upcoming trip to Disney (in 15 days!) I’ve decided to do a few little DIY projects in preparation.
Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, is probably one of my favorite places on the planet. The whole thing is absolutely gorgeous. The water is crystal clear and calm, the sand is perfectly white, and they have several beaches for different age groups, including an adults only one.
But before I get to the relaxation, I have to recap our experience with the Castaway Cay 5K. Continue reading “Disney Fantasy Day 7: Castaway Cay 5K Recap & Relaxation”
