Last past weekend, I got to see if all my training is paying off. Back in March, I won an entry to the NCRC Classic Half Marathon at the silent auction during the RRCA Convention. Actually, I got a pretty awesome swag basket and the race entry, all for $15, so it was a great deal. Continue reading “2017 NCRC Classic Half Marathon”
The third time is a charm. At least, that’s how I feel with marathons. My first two I bombed so hard that as soon as I crossed the finish I swore to never do it again. Yet, somehow I still found myself training for America’s Toughest Road Marathon, as an ambassador. I was given my choice of distance and something pulled me to the marathon. This third marathon of mine is the one that it took to fall in love with the distance. Despite the pain and suffering, I can’t wait to toe the line of another full marathon in November. Wow, what a whirlwind of a week! I’m still trying to catch up from being gone this past weekend, but it’s completely worth it for the time I got to spend at the Annual RRCA Convention this past weekend. I am so thankful to the Lynchburg Road Runners Club for letting the Marketing Committee go. We had a blast and learned a ton! Here’s a little recap of our weekend in “the Big D”. I think I may have a new contender for favorite race.
On Saturday, I ran my last half marathon of 2016. It was the coldest, my first race in Maryland, and I loved it. Continue reading “Good Morning, Race 13.1 Baltimore “
This past weekend I finished the Roanoke Triple Crown! The Triple Crown is in it’s second year and requires running either the Blue Ridge Marathon or Half in April, Race 13.1 Roanoke in June, and the Star City Half in November. It was my first year running all 3 races, and I enjoyed every single one. Continue reading “Star City Half Marathon”
How has it already been a week since this race? I feel like it was just yesterday!
To refresh, I ran the Wine & Dine Half Marathon as part of Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge (official challenge with RunDisney, see 10K recap here), but I also had my own mini unofficial challenge: 3 halfs in 3 states in 3 weekends. Continue reading “3 Halfs, 3 Weekends, 3 States: Wine & Dine Half Marathon”
You guys, I did it. After years (literally) of sitting at home stalking RunDisney events through Instagram, I FINALLY got to run in a RunDisney Weekend.
And not just any RunDisney Weekend. The Inaugural Lumiere’s Two Course Challenge.
And it was everything I ever dreamed it would be. Continue reading “Wine & Dine 10K”
This weekend was the second stop on my 3 halfs, 3 weekends, 3 states tour: beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. Continue reading “3 Halfs, 3 Weekends, 3 States: Race 13.1 Charleston”
